In the Storm of Roses

The Miracle Garden made it through Hurricane Sandy with minimal damage; a downed wisteria vine and an abundance of blown willow leaves. Some East Village gardens, around the corner and farther east, did not fare as well.

As our neighbors near and far continue to clean up after the storm, we recognize how fortunate we were. And this week a lone rose bloomed in our garden, which reminds us that spring is, as always, just around the corner.
